RF Admittance Level Switches Applied in Coal Ash Level Measurement

A large Sichuan winery has equipped pulse dust collectors to control the emission of coal ash and flue gas produced by coal fuel. Dust collector uses high-pressure air to spray the dust on filter bag through the pulse valve, and then collects the dust at the lower ash hopper. At this time, level switches need to detect and monitor the level of coal ash in the ash hopper.

Coal is the main fuel in the heating process of Baijiu production. The carbon residue produced by coal combustion is discharged from an outlet, but the generated flue gas is filtered by bag filter into coal ash. The coal ash after high-temperature combustion is up to about 200℃, and the coal ash becomes dry powder with stable dielectric constant after filtering.

With these characteristics, RF admittance level switches are the optimal choice for this level measurement case.

To save cost, the user used to select the Rotary Paddle Switches for the measurement. However, it is found that with only IP65 protection level, the dusts can penetrate into the clutch and transmission shaft, resulting in the instrument stuck and reporting false alarm.
