Guidelines of Compact Liquid Level Switch

For a better measurement solution, Jiwei developed 2 models of liquid level switches for measuring various liquids with different chemical properties: Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch for simple conditions and Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch for difficult conditions.

Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch has a larger junction case with modular design, also adaptive to AC and DC. The tines of Ring-11 is 40mm long, while the overall lightweight structure of Ring-21 is shorter. Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level with the fork body 38 mm long, total length is 160.5 mm and maximum diameter 31.5mm.

Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch is a perfect choice for low-cost economic measurement in simple working conditions. It can withstand 150 ℃ high temperature, and can be mounted in small pipes and confined space applications. The measurable density is as low as 0.7g/cm³.

Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch has remarkable advantages, but also limitations.

Firstly, because the structure of Ring-21 is compact and short, its circuit and cable connector design are relatively simple, which are not compliant with explosion-proof standards.

Secondly, the tines are smaller and thinner, as well as sensitive to damping, so Ring-21 is not ideal for viscous medium and some difficult conditions.

Lastly, Ring-21 is mainly designed for simple conditions, it is not recommended to use it when medium density is significantly lower than the density of water.

To sum up, because the designs of Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch are simple, it mainly meets the measurement requirements of simple conditions. For difficult conditions, such as viscous medium, low density medium and hazardous environment, Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch is a better selection. Its fork’s harmonic resonant frequency has been precisely pre-adjusted to achieve high sensitivity so the lowest measurable density can be as low as 0.5g/cm³. Jiwei Ring-11 liquid level switch is excellent in level measurement for acids like HCL, H₂SO₄, H₂SO₃, and alkali liquids, syrup, medical liquids, industrial wastewater, etc.
