Jiwei Advances Cooperation at Canada BC Industrial and Automation Trade Exchange Conference
Recently, the Industrial and Automation Trade Exchange Conference (Shanghai), organized by relevant government and trade organizations from British Columbia, Canada, was successfully held in Shanghai. Under the theme of “Coordinated Development of Industrial Automation and Cross-Border Technical Cooperation,” the event focused on intelligent manufacturing, industrial instrumentation, energy equipment, process automation, and other key fields. It brought together enterprise representatives, engineering service providers, system integrators, and technical experts from both China and Canada.
As one of China’s representative companies in industrial level measurement and process automation instrumentation, Shenzhen Jiwei Automations Ltd was invited to attend the conference. During the event, Jiwei held face-to-face technical exchanges and cooperation discussions with several overseas engineering companies and system integration partners.
Showcasing 80GHz Radar and Point Level Measurement Solutions
During the conference, Jiwei Automation presented its core product portfolio, including the JWrada® series 80GHz FMCW radar level transmitters, Ring-11 tuning fork level switches, and Tube-11 vibrating rod level switches.
Based on common working conditions in the North American and Canadian industrial markets, Jiwei’s technical team introduced the application capabilities of its products in several complex environments, including:
Continuous level measurement in high-dust cement silos and mining hoppers
Stable level measurement in petrochemical storage tanks under steam, condensation, and agitation conditions
Echo recognition for low-dielectric materials such as powders and granular solids
Long-term anti-icing and anti-interference performance in low-temperature environments and outdoor storage tanks
Several participating engineers showed strong interest in the performance of 80GHz high-frequency radar, especially its interference resistance, narrow beam angle control, and intelligent echo processing capability. Discussions also focused on the potential of Jiwei radar products as replacement solutions in practical industrial projects.
Clarifying Market Needs Through Technical Exchange
Through this exchange, the Jiwei team collected several key demand points from the North American engineering market. These requirements mainly focused on measurement stability, system compatibility, and commissioning efficiency.
First, customers placed higher expectations on stability under complex working conditions. In industries such as cement, mining, and energy storage, users are paying closer attention to measurement reliability under high dust, strong steam, and fluctuating material surfaces. Reducing false alarms and signal drift has become an important requirement for project applications.
Second, system integrators emphasized the importance of equipment standardization and system compatibility. Instruments that support standard interfaces such as 4–20mA, HART, and RS485/Modbus are more suitable for fast integration into existing DCS and PLC systems.
Third, customers showed strong interest in fast commissioning and remote maintenance. Bluetooth commissioning, mobile parameter configuration, echo curve analysis, and remote diagnostic functions can help shorten on-site commissioning time and reduce long-term maintenance costs.
In response to these needs, Jiwei Automation introduced its “JW Tools” app and Bluetooth configuration system during the event. The system supports fast parameter setting, echo curve analysis, and parameter copying among multiple devices, allowing single-device commissioning to be completed within several minutes.
Advancing OEM Cooperation and Project Testing
During the conference, Jiwei Automation reached preliminary technical communication intentions with several engineering service providers and channel partners. The cooperation progress mainly covered OEM cooperation, sample testing, industry application solutions, and technical documentation support.
Some system integrators from North America and Latin America expressed interest in OEM branding and joint market development. They paid particular attention to the brand customization and technical adaptation capabilities of Jiwei’s 80GHz radar products for local industrial projects.
Several companies also expressed interest in obtaining JWrada® MINI and PRO series radar samples for on-site verification testing in cement silos, storage tanks, and wastewater treatment projects.
For mining, environmental water treatment, and energy storage applications, both sides discussed typical scenarios such as continuous silo level monitoring and high/low level alarm interlocking in tank farms. These discussions helped clarify the direction of follow-up technical documents and application solution support.
In addition, customers paid close attention to CE certification, explosion-proof certification, SIL functional safety certification, and material certification documents such as CMTRs. Jiwei has started preparing standardized technical documentation packages to support future project bidding, technical review, and certification evaluation.
Supporting International Application of Industrial Instrumentation
Jiwei Automation stated that this exchange conference was not only a product presentation opportunity, but also a valuable process of validating real market needs in the North American industrial sector. Based on on-site feedback, international customers are showing increasing acceptance of high-end Chinese industrial instrumentation. In particular, in the field of 80GHz radar level measurement, Chinese manufacturers are demonstrating stronger comprehensive advantages in both performance and cost efficiency.
In the future, Jiwei will continue to strengthen its technical research and engineering application capabilities in industrial automation measurement.
