Compact Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switches Used at Nuclear Power Plant
Recently, Jiwei Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switches have successfully replaced photoelectric level switches for liquid level measurement in the water vapor sampling and analysis system, as well as circulating water system of the conventional island at Fuqing nuclear power plant.
High requirements for instruments
Nuclear power plant has strict requirements on stability and reliability of instrumental devices. In addition to compact and convenient for installation in a narrow space, the following conditions should be met in terms of reliability:
1. Certificates and test reports on seismic resistance, durability and electromagnetic compatibility.
2. With LED alarm and indicator.
3. Not affected by bubbles or foams.
4. With self-inspection function.
Advantage of Ring-21 compact tuning fork liquid level switch
Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch is based on fork resonant principle. When fork body which vibrates in harmonic resonance immerses into the measured liquid, vibrating frequency of tuning fork will greatly decrease, so does the output of piezoelectric detection device.
Compared with photoelectric level switch, Ring-21 Compact Liquid Level Switch has the following features:
● Compact and portable, with overall length 160.5mm, maximum diameter 31.5mm and the fork body only 38mm long.
● Highly reliable because of detecting changed of vibrating frequency of the fork.
● Strong disturbance resistant ability, not influenced by foam, bubbles, viscosity, vibration and other liquid characteristics.
● seismic resistance test report issued by formal institutions.
