Jiwei Product has Successfully Passed SIL2 / SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment

Recently, Jiwei Ring-11 Series Liquid Level Switch passed the Functional Safety Assessment by the Safety and Security Center of Instrumentation Technology & Economy Institution Beijing, and successfully obtained the SIL2 / SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment Certificate, which is the first Chinese brand to obtain SIL2 / SIL3 certification in level measurement industry. This indicates that Jiwei's product quality has reached international safety standard, and reached the highest safety standard for the production of petrochemical process.

The period for obtaining SIL certification has lasted more than one year, in which the center conducted a comprehensive audit and assessment of Ring-11 Series Liquid Level Switch strictly accordance with the requirements of IEC 61508, including: safety requirements, safety plan, requirement tracking matrix analysis, FMEDA detailed analysis and calculation, detailed hardware design and documentation, system integration test, fault insertion test, EMC test, factory inspection and etc.

Ring-11 Series Liquid Level Switch is a high reliability control switch specially used for liquid level measurement. According to the safety instruction manual, Ring-11 Series Liquid Level Switch is able to output the defined operation signal. When threshold level is reached or false signal is detected, the defined safety signal will be output. Ring-11 Series Liquid Level Switch can be configured with two-wire system (NAMUR or 8mA/16mA current jump), relay and transistor output, and is provided with SC3 systematic capability as well as SIL2 / SIL3 hardware safety integrity protection capability.
