The JWrada-22 Radar Sensor is a compact, cost-effective intelligent level measurement device with a simple display for intuitive on-site reading. Based on 80GHz FMCW technology, it offers a maximum measuring range of 30 meters and is suitable for short-range and simple-condition bulk solid level measurement.
The sensor comes standard with HART/Modbus protocols and an integrated Bluetooth 5.0 module. Combined with the “Jiwei Smart Control” WeChat mini-program, it enables convenient on-site wireless configuration and monitoring, and supports remote commissioning, software upgrades, and monitoring via cloud services.
Equipped with Jiwei’s proprietary echo-learning adaptive algorithm, the JWrada-22 Radar Sensor provides false echo suppression, multi-echo separation, and dynamic target tracking. This ensures stable, reliable level measurement while making installation and commissioning straightforward. The product is user-friendly, maintenance-free, and highly practical.
As an ideal replacement for ultrasonic level meters, the JWrada-22 Radar Sensor is widely used in hydrology, water management, general liquid level measurement, and short-range bulk solid applications, offering a cost-effective intelligent solution.
The radar sensor emits a frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) high-frequency (80 GHz) electromagnetic signal through its antenna, with the frequency increasing linearly over time. It receives the electromagnetic wave reflected from the material surface. The periodically transmitted FMCW signal mixes with the reflected echo to produce an intermediate frequency (IF) signal. By analyzing the frequency spectrum of this IF signal using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), the flight time of the signal (TDR) is indirectly measured. Combining this with the speed of light, the radar level meter calculates the distance between the antenna and the material surface, thereby accurately determining the level height.
