The JWrada®-22 radar sensor is an 80GHz FMCW radar sensor with a local display, designed for hydrology, water management, municipal drainage, wastewater treatment, pumping stations, reservoirs, sluice gates, and basic industrial level measurement applications. With a maximum measuring range of 30 m, it is suitable for medium-to-long range water level monitoring, as well as liquid and short-range solid level measurement under simple operating conditions.
Using non-contact radar measurement technology, the sensor features a focused beam, strong interference resistance, and stable performance against temperature, humidity, vapor, wind, and environmental noise. The built-in display allows users to quickly check measurement values and device status on site, improving commissioning and routine inspection efficiency.
Equipped with Jiwei’s independently developed intelligent echo learning and adaptive algorithm, the JWrada®-22 provides false echo recognition, multi-echo separation, and dynamic target tracking capabilities. It automatically adapts to water surface fluctuations, installation interference, and changing field conditions, ensuring long-term stable and reliable measurement.
As the display model of the JWrada® Mini Series, the JWrada®-22 radar sensor is ideal for applications requiring local reading, easy commissioning, and convenient maintenance.
The radar sensor emits an 80GHz FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) signal and receives the reflected echo from the material surface. The received signal is mixed to generate an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, which is then processed through FFT analysis to determine the signal travel time. By calculating the distance between the antenna and the material surface based on the speed of light, the transmitter accurately determines the material level.
