The JWrada®-23 radar sensor is a corrosion-resistant 80GHz FMCW radar sensor featuring a 316L stainless steel housing and a maximum measuring range of 30 m. It is designed for continuous level measurement of wastewater, corrosive liquid tanks, and humid outdoor environments.

The radar sensor supports HART/Modbus communication protocols and integrates a Bluetooth 5.0 module. Through the “JW Tools” APP, users can perform wireless commissioning and monitoring on site, improving operational convenience. With cloud connectivity, it also supports remote commissioning, software upgrades, and remote monitoring.

Equipped with Jiwei’s independently developed intelligent echo learning and adaptive algorithm, the JWrada®-23 provides false echo recognition, multi-echo separation, and dynamic target tracking capabilities. It automatically adapts to changing operating conditions, delivering high-accuracy measurement and ensuring long-term stable and reliable operation.

As the corrosion-resistant enhanced model of the JWrada® Mini Series, the JWrada®-23 radar sensor is ideal for applications requiring long-term reliable performance in harsh environments.

The radar sensor emits an 80GHz FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) signal and receives the reflected echo from the material surface. The received signal is mixed to generate an intermediate frequency (IF) signal, which is then processed through FFT analysis to determine the signal travel time. By calculating the distance between the antenna and the material surface based on the speed of light, the transmitter accurately determines the material level.
