SIL2/3 Certified Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switches used in Pharmaceutical Industry

Recently, a Tianjin enterprise ordered 56 pieces SIL certified tuning fork liquid level switches from Jiwei for liquid level measurement in pharmaceutical production. In which, 18 pieces are with 2-metre-long extension tines.

Facing to the special working condition, the client targets on high reliable tuning fork liquid level switches. Most importantly, the instrument should pass the SIL Functional Safety Assessment Certification issued by Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA). Besides, due to the restrict mounting position, the instrument need to be mounted from above to measure the liquid level of the tank and prevent overflow.

Jiwei Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch is a highly reliable instrument for liquid level detection and control. The fork length is only 40mm which makes Ring-11 applicable not only for vessels, process tanks and storage tanks, but also particularly for pipelines or other applications with constricted space. Based on the fork resonant principle, when a fork vibrates in harmonic resonance comes in contact with measured liquid, its vibrating frequency will greatly decrease. The fork’s harmonic resonant frequency has been precisely pre-adjusted to achieve high sensitivity so the lowest measurable density can be as low as 0.5g/cm³. Jiwei Ring-11 liquid level switch is excellent in level measurement for acids like HCL, H₂SO₄, H₂SO₃, and alkali liquids, syrup, medical liquids, industrial wastewater, etc. And particularly, it is suitable for pressured liquefied gas or LNG, and applications under complicated working conditions where measured liquid is easy to foaming, bubbling or with high viscosity and under vibration disturbance environment etc.

In addition, Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch passed SIL2 / SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment, as well as certified for both Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof Enclosure explosion protection.
