SIL2/3 Certified Tuning Fork Liquid Level Switches Ordered for Pharmaceutical Industry Application
A Tianjin-based enterprise recently placed an order with Jiwei for 56 pieces of SIL certified tuning fork liquid level switches, specifically designed for liquid level measurement in pharmaceutical production. Among these, 18 units feature 2-meter-long extension tines to accommodate unique operational requirements.
The client prioritizes high reliability in tuning fork liquid level switches due to specialized working conditions. It is essential that the instruments pass the SIL Functional Safety Assessment Certification issued by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA). Moreover, given restricted mounting positions, the instruments need to be installed from above to accurately measure tank liquid levels and prevent overflow.
The Jiwei Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch is renowned for its reliability in liquid level detection and control. Featuring a compact fork length of only 40mm, the Ring-11 is suitable for vessels, process tanks, storage tanks, and pipelines where space is constrained. Utilizing the principle of fork resonant vibration, contact with the measured liquid causes a significant decrease in vibrating frequency. The fork’s harmonic resonant frequency is finely adjusted to ensure high sensitivity, capable of detecting liquids with densities as low as 0.5g/cm³. The Ring-11 excels in measuring various substances including acids like HCl, H₂SO₄, H₂SO₃, alkali liquids, syrups, medical fluids, industrial wastewater, and is particularly suitable for pressurized liquefied gases or LNG. It performs reliably in complex environments prone to foaming, bubbling, high viscosity, vibration disturbances, and other challenging conditions.
Furthermore, the Ring-11 Liquid Level Switch has achieved SIL2/SIL3 Functional Safety Assessment certification and is certified for both Intrinsic Safety and Flameproof Enclosure explosion protection standards.
